The notifications are sent to the email address you used to sign up on MPCN.

  1. TO BE NOTIFIED OF NEW POSTS IN YOUR GROUP(S)
Inside the groups in which you belong, at the bottom of the "Daily Posts" page, there is a button to be notified when a new article is added. Scroll down to the bottom of the page where you'll see "Email me when there are new items – Follow." Tap the red link "Follow" to be notified when new articles are added. See image below for an example of the text you'll see at the very bottom of the page, below all the articles:

    13740682101?profile=RESIZE_710x
Tap the "Follow" link. After tapping the "Follow" link, it changes to:
    13740682854?profile=RESIZE_710x
  2. HOW TO FOLLOW SPECIFIC POSTS FOR REPLIES:
In each post, You can also choose to be notified of new replies "following" that specific post. Scroll to the bottom of the post where you'll see "E-mail me when people leave their comments" and tap "follow".

Welcome Michelle Gonzales we are so glad you found us! I will tag you in the daily post for today. You will also find at the top of the page all of the tabs for each week. We have everything uploaded and current daily. We are still providing you with great information just like we did on FaceBook.

Hi Michelle Gonzales we're glad you found the community! Inside MPCN, we have groups for each company's graduation date. You'll find your son's company at this link: https://connectandshare.com/groups/sda for San Diego Alpha scheduled to graduate November 25. I see that you are already a member of that group and have introduced yourself in there. Click the link and you'll see the "Daily Posts" which is information about Alpha Company. You can see all of the posts for each week of training, plus information about graduation and travel. I'll tag another volunteer to help you out as well: Dana Powell VO

  • Hi. We were informed on October 14 that our recruit was recycled from Kilo Co and will graduate with Lima Co. We still don't know his platoon number. His recruiter doesn't know it either. Does it usually take that long? I'm dying to keep writing him 😞. We're from Florida.

    • Sorry this happened. It can be frustrating. I'm from Florida, too. (Naples) Welcome!! 🌞🌞🌞

Good Morning Gabriela, its always hard when this happens as it can take a while for you to find out their new platoon number.  Unfortunatley, the only thing you can do is wait to hear from your recruit.  Please keep in mind that the recruits are kept very busy and it may take a while before your recruit has time to write you.  I recommend you continue to write letters to your recruit and once you have the platoon number, send away.  I would send my Marine several letters at a time and number the envelopes so he know in whch order to open them.  Here is a link to an article with the company addresses so you can at least address the envelopes while you wait for the platoon number.  https://rp.marineparents.com/bootcamp/addresses.asp Sending prayers that you hear from your recruit soon.

Hi Gabriela, I'm going to tag a volunteer to help you with this question. I see you have joined Lima Company. Diana Wolfe

  • I'm really happy we have this since I researched a lot of Facebook pages regarding Marines and other military and find out it's a haven of scammers. I now always, always look at Admin page and read everything and look at each Admin's profile since you will know from there if they are officially a military page.

Excellent Maria! We've been doing this since 2003, even before Facebook was the "go-to" place. It's tough to try to function within the algorithms of Facebook when they delete our volunteers' profiles, posts, and comments inside our own groups as "community violations" with no explanation, then give us tips for how to find more profiles to add to our groups. It's absurd. We don't want to add more people to our groups for the sake of numbers; we want to reach the Marine Corps community. We could no longer be successful in our mission within the confines of Facebook.

      • I was wondering why the switch.  Change will take me awhile to get caught up.  Still navigating ....wish me luck!!🤣
